To complete a gender impact assessment (GIA), you can:
- use our step-by-step guide (the ‘toolkit’). It has everything you need to conduct a best-practice gender impact assessment
- use our 'templates and resources' document. It has templates to help you with section 3 of the toolkit, making it easier to track and report your work
- read our Data sources for conducting a gender impact assessment. This information can help when you’re up to step 2 of the toolkit.
While our best-practice toolkit and templates are here to help you, you’re not required to use them to be compliant with the Gender Equality Act 2020.
Toolkit options
- Choose to read the GIA toolkit and templates as either web pages or PDF/Microsoft Word files.
- Read our information on ‘data sources’.
