The Commission has published a series of new expanded gender impact assessment (GIA) case studies, including a regional health organisation that applied a GIA to a media and communications policy.
You can read more about how Grampians Health approached the 4 steps of a gender impact assessment.
We developed these expanded case studies with some of our panel of providers, including The Equality Institute, Genderworks and Women’s Health Victoria.
The case studies use fictional narratives but draw from real examples across defined entities. They cover a range of sectors and types of policies, programs and services, such as:
- A local government Community Grants Policy
- A water sector Financial Hardship Policy
- A housing sector Affordable Housing Program
- A health sector Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Visit our GIA hub to see the full suite of case studies. More case studies will be published in the coming weeks.
Please contact us at enquiries@genderequalitycommission.vic.gov.au if you have a case study you’d like to share.
